1. Create a new folder on any local drive on any name. But at last the name will be changed to the corresponding folder which you are trying to move from user's profile folder. In our case created New folder on E: on the name Desktop.

2. Right click on any folder which has to be moved to another location from the user profiles folder. here we have done with the Desktop folder. Go to Properties tab --> Go to Locations tab --> please do enter the location where the New folder is created in our case E: on the Desktop.

3. Again it will prompt you to choose the path, please choose the path where the new folder has been created and click on Apply and click on Yes as shown below.

4. Congratulation the default path of Desktop folder is been moved from the User's profile folder.
5. For restoring back to the original path, Right click the moved folder Go to properties tab --> Go to Location tab --> Click on Restore default button that's it, it's done. we are good to go with the default settings itself...
